The idea
Browsers can see everything on a page, but they cannot run programs on your computer. Media Grabber bridges that gap: the extension spots media as the page loads, then passes the job to a small helper that runs outside the browser.
The result feels like a single tool. Open the popup, pick what you want, and watch the progress bar. Cancel any time.
Spot it, send it, watch it land.
In use
The popup lists what the extension found on the current page. Each item shows its format and size, with a download button.
Active downloads show a live progress bar with speed and time remaining, and a cancel button until they finish.
How it fits together
The browser can see the page, but only a local program can do the heavy lifting. A small helper sits in between, carrying the request out and the progress updates back.
